A commenter tied the drowned boater from December and February to a real, unsolved Lake Travis disappearance from the late 1990s, a man who swam from his boat while his kids slept aboard and never came back. The detail that stops me: the name he used in the ghost story he told that night. I'm treating it as a lead, not a conclusion.

My encounters with the spirit world aren’t slowing down. Today, I received interesting feedback about Candle Face Victim #13. A commenter suggested that the nocturnal visitor who came to me in late December 2023, and again on February 13, 2024, might be William Crumpacker from Lake Travis, Texas.
That tip led me to search online for “missing person Lake Travis late 1990s.” I found a KXAN article titled “Unsolved: The Mysteries Lurking in Lake Travis,” which described several drownings, including the disappearance of William Crumpacker in 1998.

He was a Dell marketing manager who vanished under unclear circumstances after going for a late-night swim from his boat in Little Devil’s Cove while his children slept on board. His body was never recovered.

The name William matches the one the spirit used in the ghost story he told during a boating trip, the same night he said he encountered Candle Face and drowned. Could the spirit who visited me really be William Crumpacker?
In late December 2023, a spirit came to me whose appearance and account lined up with those details. Unfortunately, I didn’t document his testimony the first time. When he returned in February 2024, he was furious about that failure. He struck me twice and forced vomit into my mouth until I finally wrote down his story. Now, as the visits continue, I keep asking myself the same question: was that spirit really William Crumpacker? And if it was, what am I supposed to do with that? Direct communication has become dangerous because of Candle Face’s warnings, and I’m not eager to risk more harm by pushing further.
