Candle Face Chronicles is an ongoing investigation into a figure I first encountered as a child in Austin, Texas. What began as a personal haunting eventually grew into a larger effort to document the victims connected to Candle Face and investigate her origins, motives, and methods.
The Lost Souls are individuals believed to have been killed by Candle Face or her followers. Their stories form the foundation of the Candle Face Chronicles investigation as I work to discover what happened to them.
The Fugitives are thirty-one souls who escaped from Candle Face’s Lair. Their identities and stories are preserved in scrolls. These scrolls are sent to Guardians to protect them from the Master Shadow while the investigation continues.
According to the research behind Candle Face Chronicles, the entity known as Candle Face may actually be Isabel, a forgotten child connected to the legend of La Llorona. The evidence surrounding this identity is still being examined and debated.
The evidence includes childhood experiences, physical signs that appeared at the time, accounts from others who encountered similar phenomena, and records connected to the victims believed to be tied to Candle Face. Whether these pieces of evidence point to a supernatural entity or something else remains part of the ongoing investigation.

I also bring more than 30 years of experience as an intelligence analyst and investigator, including work involving missing persons and human trafficking cases. That background taught me how to gather facts, study patterns, document evidence, and keep working when answers are hard to find.
I've also been writing fiction and nonfiction for decades, including analytical assessments.
For me, those three parts fit together. I lived through the original events. I've spent decades doing investigative work. I know how to document what I find. That's why I believe the Lost Souls chose me to help tell their stories.

I do use AI tools for limited technical tasks such as SEO summaries, backend descriptions, and occasional image generation when stock photography isn't suitable. The ideas, structure, and writing you read are mine.
The name comes from the burned appearance of the girl I saw in my childhood dreams. Her face looked as if it had been melted by fire, like wax from a candle. As a five-year-old child, the name simply became the only way I could describe her.
Candle Face Chronicles blends personal experience, investigation, and storytelling. Some readers view it as a supernatural investigation. Others see it as a psychological exploration of childhood trauma. The project invites readers to examine the evidence and decide for themselves.
Because silence never solved any part of this. As a child, I kept quiet, and that only made things worse. I'm not going to make that same mistake twice.
