Something changed tonight. For the first time, a Lost Soul didn't just tell his story and vanish, he answered me. A real, two-way conversation, over a plate of brownies. After months of one-sided listening, it feels like a door opening, and maybe a way to actually help these souls and understand Candle Face.

Main subject:
My house, on the outskirts of Houston, has become a stop for spirits looking to be heard. I’ve always tried to offer them a quiet corner of my home and a listening ear, but until now, it’s felt like a one-sided interaction. Tonight changed everything.
The night was thick with the scent of freshly baked brownies, a warmth that seemed to spill over into the spirit world. The side door eased open. It was Victim #22, a middle-aged man whose gaze fell immediately upon the brownies set out on the kitchen counter. Our exchange began simply.
“Would you like some?” I asked.
He responded in a calm, measured tone, “I appreciate the offer, but partaking in the pleasures of the living isn’t something I can do without consequences.”
That was the moment it hit me. This was the first time a Lost Soul addressed me so directly. I was actually having a conversation. I’ve wished for this moment, yet never truly thought it would arrive. Now that it’s here, I feel a surge of hope. If this visitor could speak so openly, maybe others will follow suit. Maybe I can truly help by listening to their stories and following the clues they leave behind.
I recently posed a question to several paranormal Facebook groups, wondering if direct interviews with spirits were possible. The answers were mostly skeptical. People suggested tools like Ouija boards or spirit boxes, methods I don’t find helpful in my situation. As it turns out, the real key might just be talking, like you would with anyone else stepping into your home.
Of course, it’s not all excitement. Communicating with these spirits feels like crossing into dangerous territory. They’ve spoken of boundaries and consequences. I’ll need to tread carefully, respecting both their world and mine. Now I have something more solid to work with. This feels like a turning point. I can respond to these spirits, speak with them, and maybe offer real help.
I’ve been given the chance to help these souls find answers, and that’s given me a clearer sense of purpose. If talking is what opens up their stories, then I’m prepared to listen all night long.
I know the journey ahead is far from over. Candle Face is out there, and this newfound communication could put me at greater risk. The scent of brownies still hangs in the air, and with it comes the feeling that I may finally be on the right track.
As long as these spirits come knocking, I’ll keep opening the door. The only way to learn about Candle Face and bring peace to these restless souls is to keep listening.
