Eleven weeks in, the dread has turned into something else. The dreams feel less like dreams and more like contact. But I keep circling one question I can't answer: are these spirits really reaching out for help, or is Candle Face using them to learn my habits and set a trap? I go to sleep listening and watching at the same time.

Main subject:
Over the last eleven weeks, my sleep has taken me somewhere I didn’t expect. What began as occasional dreams once a week, filled with strange images and coded messages, has grown into something larger. At first, the dreams felt disconnected, as if they came from a place I couldn’t make sense of. I dreaded going to bed because I knew I would be pulled back into those episodes.
But recently, something changed. It feels as though a barrier has lifted, and I can now understand each dream more clearly. I wake up every morning with the need to write down every detail, every feeling, and every word before it fades. My unease has given way to a sense of purpose. I no longer think these dreams are random flashes in my mind. They seem to open a view into a hidden world of spirits, each one trying to be heard. The shadowy figures I first saw have become distinct voices, each with its own fear, hope, and account.
It’s strange that these spirits chose me as the one to speak for them, especially since I’m the person who uncovered and supposedly defeated Candle Face. Her name has spread among these restless souls. They seem to see me as someone who faced her and survived, which gives them reason to hope. Now they’re trusting me to tell their stories, find their remains, and identify their killers. But why would Candle Face allow them to reach me? Could this be another trap? Could she be using them to study my habits and weaknesses?
I also keep wondering what these encounters really are, if they’re dreams at all. Are they testing my resolve or my judgment? Could something I do give Candle Face more power? I can’t ignore the possibility that others, both living and dead, also have a stake in this. Are these spirits truly asking for help, or are some of them leading me in the wrong direction? The uncertainty forces me to question everything, including whether Candle Face, or even some of the spirits themselves, may be trying to manipulate me.
Even with all of that, I’m committed to giving these spirits a voice. I’m bringing their accounts to the page through my journal and other writing, and in doing so, I have become the one left to speak for them. But this role is starting to break me down. I have looked for help from paranormal investigators, mediums, and psychics, but so far, no one has stepped up. The only exception has been a team that mixes comedy with ghost hunting, and that isn’t what these spirits need. These spirits need help, not a comedy show.
So each night, sleep has become a mix of anticipation and caution. I want to hear what these spirits have to say, and I stay on guard because of Candle Face. She and I have history, and I suspect these visits are part of something larger she’s doing. When I lie down, I try to stay open to the spirits while also preparing myself for whatever Candle Face may be setting in motion.
It’s not easy to balance empathy with self-protection. Part of me wants to be fully present and take in everything these spirits share. But I also have to stay alert for signs that Candle Face is behind something. Every dream and every clue has to be dealt with carefully. Understanding how she operates gives me a better chance of protecting both myself and the spirits depending on me.
This has become the center of my life. It’s unpredictable and risky, but the chance to help these spirits find some kind of closure, and maybe keep Candle Face in check, is worth it. I intend to keep going, no matter how complicated it gets.
I want to invite you into what has been happening since these dream encounters began eleven weeks ago. The fear I felt at first has faded. These encounters feel like contact from a world filled with spirits, each carrying its own story. These spirits have pulled me out of the role of bystander. I’m now speaking for them as best I can.
There’s another side to this as well. I’m also the same person who once stood against Candle Face. That history may be part of why these spirits came to me, but it may also be why Candle Face remains on the edge of all this. Each night, I go to sleep knowing I may have to do both jobs at once: listen to the spirits and remain watchful for her.
I’m writing these accounts to bring their stories into the open while also trying to understand Candle Face’s purpose. I hope you’ll keep following this work as I continue sorting through what the spirits are saying and what Candle Face may be trying to do.
